Callejon del Gato (Alley of the Cat, pronounced “Ka-Yay-Hon”) is one of Casco Viejo’s newest restaurants. Located on Calle Primero, just around the corner from the old Club Union, and on the road that leads to Plaza Francia.

The head chef at Callejon, Sajoscha (“Sy-Ocho”) Hamann began his career as a professional Chef in 1988 after studying the art of culinary perfection at the five star Hotel Intercontinental located in Hamburg, Germany. He has spent time in Mallorca, Morrocco, Germany, Panama, and traveled much of the world looking for culinary delights. He will incorporate the sum of all of his culinary influences from around the world over the past 20 years to create a the perfect mix of ambiance and variety, in his latest enterprise, “Callejon del Gato.”

A great Tapas restaurant. The menu is affordable and atmosphere is cool. It has a very Cartagena feel. When you go take notice of the extra wide front door.
