Guru — Large Scale Clubbin Panama Nightlife

Basically the megaclub of Panama City, Guru is a huge open space, with a large stage, multiple levels and multiple VIP areas. When Guru is packed and popular, it can bring in the majority of nightlife traffic in the area. Located in the main bar and disco area of Panama City, Calle Uruguay, Guru provides the large dance club atmosphere that many travelers and locals alike look for. Sometimes they have live acts on stage but usually just a DJ playing everything from Latin to electronic to rock to hip hop. When it’s really bumping they even have scantily clad professional dancers gyrating in the rafters.

Drinks aren’t terribly expensive, and bottles are always a more economical choice, but cover charges are often 10 dollars minimum and can get up to 20. Getting in before 11 pm will usually keep the cover a bit more reasonable. Also, make sure you are ready to deal with a dress code, but nothing too extravagant, just the normal protocol of long pants and closed-toe shoes for dudes. For a big night out clubbing and dancing, Guru is definitely one of the main spots that you should consider in Panama City.
