Sahara, A Panama City Bar That’s Hard to Miss
Sahara is a Calle Uruguay mainstay. With a large section of outdoor seating ideal for Panama City people watching, a sizeable stage and dance floor inside, two pool tables and additional, more private outdoor seating out back, Sahara has it all. Sahara has some kind of action just about every night of the week and provides a good place to get together and hang out even on a random Tuesday night when most other bars are either empty or closed.
80’s and classic rock music are never in short supply and they even put on the videos as well on their ubiquitous TV screens, to make sure you never forget about those epic mullets and mustachios that your favorite rockers used to rock back in their glory days. Sahara usually has live music a few nights a week and almost always charges cover unless it’s early in the week. However, with that general five dollar cover charge, you get a free drink coupon covering the cost to wet your whistle, which you were probably going to be spending anyway.

Cool outdoor area, but the music is way too loud. Plus, the place has been overrun by hookers.
